Chuping is a small town in Perlis. The town's name is derived from a limestone hill known by the local folks as Bukit Chuping. It is situated to the northeast of Kangar. The largest sugarcane plantation in Malaysia is located here. There are about 22,000 hectares of sugarcane plantation. This is wide sugarcane plantation is own by Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA). Harvesting period starts from December and done until June. Even so, the vast, green landscape of Chuping sugarcane plantation is a lovely sight to behold.
